There is a lot of interest in the fact that the OEM 6500 cover fits the 8390, turning your 8390 into a flip. I know a seller ("trading_shop" on eBay) who is an eBay Power Seller with an outstanding feedback history.

Just got my faceplate from them.... EXCELLENT SELLER!

The faceplate was packed *very* well and it looks great on the 8390.

I'd highly reccommend them if you are looking to get this faceplate for yourself. Heheheh I reccommend the flip look too since I like the keypad better on the 6500.

As tempted as I am to try the 8910 conversion housing, my bad experiences with aftermarket spring-loaded housings give me a vision of what the future holds with a 8910 conversion: After having your new converted 8390-to-8910 for a few weeks, you push the slide-up button only to have your phone fly off, crash onto the ground 10 feet away, shatter your plastic 8910 housing, and break your LCD screen. This is what you look like at that point:

Aftermarket stuff is worthless unless your paying next to nothing.

GNOSIS you shoudl go for the 8910 conversion.. its oem so you know it will be of good quality.. that hsould last a long time..

8910 is my fav design right now

There's no way that 8910 conversion housing on eBay is OEM.

i've only seen the gold/pinkish color 6500 conversion. im assuming that there are other colors too?

The OEM 6500 only comes in one color. Aftermarket 6500 housings come in just about any color.
