i'm a newbie, so please give a little help...

I'm currently trying to get my E1 to be able to read chinese, so i'm trying to install a language pack.

I'm using RSD Lite 1.8.1, i don't knkow if this software works or not, but somehow when I try to flash it, it always stops at the part where it needs to restart my cell phone.

But I notice my phone is still on and the screen is full of those wierd code and text saying "...k to program USB transfer Mode" and then something about error... and the status on RSD Lite would say "Please manually power up this phone". Power up? the phone is not even off...

But when i turn off and back on manually, it would say
"Failed flashing process. Language package version 0x%X does not match Subscriber Unit Version 0x%X (0x0)"

does anyone how can i solve this problem?

My first question would be where did you get the LP from? Is it for the E1?

I don't remember where did I get that... but it says E389 on the name
I thought E1 and E389 are pretty similar, so...

Do I need a E1 LP?
and where can I get it?

i think you need a r373 LP maybe the one you've got is r372??

the name of the LP that I've tried is:

I398_R373_G_0E.30.42R_lang004D.shx

so I think this is a right LP, except it doesn't say E1...
