ROKR E1 Backup Error

Im a Total Newbie To Phone Modding. I Have Tried To Use FlashBackup 2.5 & 2.55 To No Avail. Every Time I Click On The Backup Button the Proggy Sends The Signal To My Phone To Switch To Flash Mode Then I Get A Message Saying That My Phone Is Not Supported.

S/W Ver: R373_G_0E.30.42R
DSP S/W Ver: 6237D700

I Have Managed To Change Startup Screens/Sounds And Have Done A Few Seem Edits. It Is An Unlocked Phone That I Have Managed To Upload Skins/Appz To And Backed Up The A & C Drives. Is This All That I Need To Backup?

It Has Taken Me Four Days Of Trial And Error To Get This Far And Am Getting Fed Up With It Now.

I Also Bit The Bullet Last Night And Tried To Flash My Phone Using PST And Following The E398 Walkthrough, But This Too Failed.

Am I Being Really Dumb And Missing Something Simple Or Is It Something Else?

Please Help.

It's not possible to backup the ROKR as of now because the phone seems to switch off when reading certain areas of the flash chip.

I think it's because of the new bootloader, but I may be wrong. However, don't worry about flashing as it's nearly impossible to make the phone die. (Believe me, I've messed with my phone any way I can short of testpointing it.)

What MP are you flashing your phone with? I398 MPs do not work on the ROKR without a little modification.

I don't think there should be any problems flashing that MP.

Did you receive any error?

Note: Had To Manually Put My Phone In Flash Mode ( "*" + "#" + Power )

Well I Flashed The Phone To 45r, And It Seems To Work OK But....

P2K Commander Keeps Hanging When Transfering Files And The Phone re-boots When I Try To Apply The Skin. I Cant Upload Any Of My Java Apps Either.

I Even Wiped My PC And Started From Scratch Yesterday But P2K Still Hangs.

Any Ideas?
