Is there a way to remove the start up sound when the phone boots up? Thank you

Yep. Go under "sounds" then to "alert" then to "on/off tones"

There is no option for that. I found the sounds option and the only categories listed is ringtones, msg tones, voicemail, volume, tone length, silencer mode. Any thoughts?

8915?? I'm sorry. I was thinking it was the 8615.
