!!-Phone Warrenty On ROKR-!! HELP

ok so i have a ROKR and its been having some problems, i called Cingular and they are sending me a replacement phone with the new firmware but my question is does modding the phone via p2k tools and editing the mma_ucp _dcp files void the warrenty? i have edited some things on the phone phone but nothing that would cause the problems, thats just the problems with the phone itself, so im wondering if when they receive my phone they'll charge me for the price of the phone because its been edited in some way. im trying to find some stock mma_ucp _dcp ROKR files so i can just throw those on there when i get the replacement phone. so if anyone could help me out with those that'd would be nice as well. But back to the main question, does doing that void my warrenty? I didn't think it did but i dont want to get stuck with paying 200$ for the phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes it will void the warranty, you are using an unauthorized software to alter the phones, for example why do motorola lock all of its default rintones and pictures, they dont want ppl to remove them, try to go to a moto service center and they would just say they are not removable. they p2k program is able to remove these and add many other features. many ppl are also turning their tri-band rokr's into quad band.
using these program may also kill your phone, so without any knowledge don't mess around with it.

Well the only thing ive modded is the mma_ucp _dcp files, so hopefully if i put the original ones on there they wont care. i mean the phone has a problem that was there before i even edited my phone.

as long as you revert back to it's original state, they wont tell the differences, that's what i do if i need an upgrade or a repair service.

im not sure if i deleted some of the original photo's though. and on another note should i most likely put it back on a default skin and delete the rest of the skins? that would kind of note that the phone has been modified even if it is something small.

Another quick point, the warrenty line told me to goto a site to give the ROKR and update, i didnt know if i did this if it would but a new mma_ucp _dcp file on it so i could be somewhat safe. does anyone know about what that update does?

with afew ringtones and pic removes, they wont know, but for the skins remove the one's that you added on, there should be three skins default on the rokr.

the update, may have some bug fixed and may even add extra features and stablility of the os, the site does not mention.
this update is official and will not void the warannty, but will erase all present data.

so is that a good thing in my situation? will it put my phone to how i want it when i receive the new phone?

yes, it will set your phone to factory state. and with all cingular settings

well the program ran and did all that fun stuff but it didnt put the phone back how i thought it would, it just updated something and then restarted the phone.

normally an update, will reset all settings, and have the phone back to factory state.

well it didnt in this case, i dunno why. i dont know if i want to take the risk of flashing it to the normal flash/flex, all i need is some stock mma_ucp _dcp files but i guess id need ones from a cingular branded phone as well.

have you tried the master reset afterwards, what do you want the mmp file for, is it the 9 icon of 12 icon menu you want, I can copy mine and send it to you, PM me if you want it, they all should be the same.

well the mma_ucp and _dcp files dont they contain certain cingular branded things that other unbranded ROKR's do not? but anyways i have a 12 icon now and i want it back to my original 9 icon so it will look somewhat stock.

do you still want my unbranded mma., i think this file only allocate the icons, it's the dat file that has the cingular icons.
or may be a hofo member with a cingular rokr may help you.

yeah id appreciate it, i think im just gonna flash the phone with the original 34R though, do you have an idea where i could get that?
