Problems while flashing my v3 black.....

Regarding my motorola v3 black.

I have flashed my phone to s/w version "R374_G_oe.42.08r" flex version "GSMV3xxt674TA09E" and have encountered the followowing probs...

1. Boot screen (sitch on/off screen) shows vodaphone splash screen even though im on orange so i would like my orange one back.

2. Cant turn off predictive text, option is there to turn it off but even when selected it stays on.

3. Welcome not says something like "flex error, subsidy locked"

Anyone know what to do? I'm new to this so any help is appreciated.

Hi.

I recently fiddled with my wife's original V3 and was getting into a right mess picking the individual flashes and flexes -- well, I just couldn't get the camera to work again or the video capture feature to work.

Having already been picking the files from the MotoX site, in the end I opted for one of the monster packs -- the plain RAZR V3 M/pack with the 42.0ER flash and SE8617MXXF1126 flex. This did the trick and left me (well, the wife!) with a working fone again... although I had the annoying "flex error, subsidy locked" error (easily removed). See here;

i sorted that error message, the reason i flashed it was because i wanted video cam on it and it worked a treat, just need a fix to get the orange boot screen back to replace the vodaphone one and sort out the predictive text problem.

Looks like you've flashed the fone with a Vodafone flash / firmware revision, hence the new start-up logo. I'm sure there are ways to replace the gifs stored in the phone but you'd still be left with the predictive text problem.

The Monster pack I used was based on a Motorola flash, therefore the start-up and shut-down screens are standard. If your issue is more that you have the wrong company's logo as opposed to your actual provider versus Motorola screens then try the M/pack I did. Predictive text turns off fine too.

Where'd you find your flash, and do you know if anyone is having similar problems..?

i have fixed all probs, just went back in entry setup to fix the precitive text and downloaded motokit to change my startup/shutdown animations to some nice custom ones.....

better than ever.
