Treo 650 Dialing String Pauses?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi,

How do I include short dialing pauses after the dialing numbers to allow wait for automated input of numbers after the call is answered? Is there a pause character?

Thanks

Go to phone screen and at the bottom highlight the voicemail favorites button using the five way controller. Next, tap the upper left corner of the screen and select 'edit favorites button'. That should be your voicemail button. Click on 'more' and enter 'p' and your voicemail pin with no space. Make sure you check the box to dial it automatically. Just be careful that no one has access to your phone.

But if you want to put in your password string and then have it also wait and dial "1" to go straight to you voicemail? I've tried the number sign or a space but it doesn't work.

I don't understand your question. Do you want the phone to dial your password first and then pause for a few seconds and dial "1"? If so, just enter a couple of more p's before the 1.

OK, let me try again. I set the phone to dial the voice mail number then I add the additional numbers for the password. It dials the number, enters the password, then I get the Telus lady saying "you have X new messages". Then I have to dial the # 1. How do you enter the pauses, i.e. 'p's? to have it also dial the #1? Merci.

steamdonkey;

just tried it on my bellmobility t650. bell's v.m. setup is different - i don't need to enter the 1 - but all i did is in the "Extra Digits" screen of editing the favourites button, i have [#pswd#p1] without the brackets. all you have to do is type a 'p' and then '1' after your password and it should work. try it out and let us know.

H sml. Worked great. Many thanks. Didn't understand the "p" before. Now if I could only figure out how to send sms from my mac with bluetooth through the phone. Worked on my Sony Ericson but ng on the Treo.
