weird q: do magnets reduce battery life?

Recently i've been looking for a Razr V3 pouch. I found a nice one which has a velcro closure. I asked the seller why it doesn't come w/ magnetic closure (I don't like velcro because it doesn't last too long). The seller replied back and said the magnet will reduce the battery life!

Now we all know that you're not suppose to put your hand or finger near the internal antenna because it makes the antenna less efficient and saps battery life. But is there any truth to this thing about magnetic closure being bad for battery life?

There is a magnet built into the Razr to turn on/off the LCD when the flip is open/closed - so no.

andyahs is right. Cause the OEM V3 leather pouch has magnets on it and that doesn't affect the battery life.

only a strong magnet should affect battery life
nothing like pouches should do much
