How do I reset siemens s40... My phone started not receiving text messages well at least the messages are stored at my sim card but the phone does not notify me and it does not register in messages menu. I think resetting is the solution. Any suggestions?...

From the menu, the steps to reset the phone memory is:

Switch off your phone.
Remove the SIM card.
Switch on your phone again.
Press *#337#
The resetting lasts for approx. 1
minute. During this period the LED
on top of the phone will light and
the display will indicate that the
memory is being reset. When the
LED and the display switch off the
resetting is completed.
Insert your SIM card and
switch on your phone again.

But this phone reset only works in firmware version 3.2.0 or above.

To check the firmware version, press *#06# and then the side button downward.

All phone data memory will be erased after phone reset.

If the phone cannot reset, i hope this method can be worked: use another sim card with text message memory inside, insert in the phone to let it load once to read the message, then put back your origin sim card to see if it can read your text message. As my phone also had this problem in reading the phone book, and this can be helped.
