i870 midi ringtone help

Does anybody else have this problem? Midi ringtones that worked perfectly well on my i830, i860, and i605 are getting cut short or missing notes when they are played on my i870. Does anyone know why this is happening and are there different settings for the i870 that I don't know about. Please help!
