902 mp3 ringtone

i saw it on web that said if i use a dm file i can get around and use mp3 as ringtone ... i found this AE86.dm file, but do i dl it using phone or computer then send to my phone ? did i do something wrong ? cuz when i tried to send from computer to my phone, my phone said " save it to other document .. ? "" 
is it because of the version of my phone that wont allow me to do so ? or i downloaded a wrong file ? please help.......
