Is there anyway to override the "ringer id's" I have set up for people in my phonebook? I want a certain ring to play when they 'call', but when I recieve a txt message I want the same sound to play no matter who txt's me. I have the ringer ID's set up, and the txt message detail set. The only time it plays the same txt sound is when it is plugged in charging.

No, Motorola phones will play the alert set to a contact for EVERY alert from that number, including txt msgs. No way around that, that I know of.

This is not entirely true, i have the option to set a call i.d and when people send a text i have a "default" sound for each text i get, regardless of who it is from, i am usin a v710.....
