Transferring video from Treo to Windows

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

In the manual for the treo 650, it states that videos are automatically backed up in mp4 format. It says to go to my documents/my videos...

Thats as far an I can get. I do not have a My Videos.

I tried using card export, but it exported the file in some really weird format.

Is there a way to get the video off the treo in mp4 format???

If not, what is the best way to got my video into windows in a format that is universal?

Thanks

Go to palm desktop, open up media, it should be in there. You'll need Quick Time to play it.

There is no "Media" anywhere in the palm desktop software?

Is it a new feature? MEybe I have an old palm desktop?
Also when I sync my treo, and then look at the log. It doesnt say that it is syncing pics and videos???

What version is your PD? It should be 4.1.4 and there should be a button on the left that says media or selectable under the view menu. You should be able to right click hot sync manager, select custom, see media which should say syncronize files.

There is no media anywhere? I have the current version and none of those options are there... I am really frustrated and Sprint or Palm will not help me. Their CS is horrible.

Any ideas???

I have my video recorded to my SD card. I then copy the video from my SD card to my PC with a card reader and using windows explorer.

On my computer, you can only play video taken with your Treo 650 with Apple Quick Time.

I did this. And it transferred in some weird format that nothing would play...
