Using V3/HS810 Y-Cable to SEEM Edit V400??

I have a V3 RAZR and HS-810 bluetooth headset that I purchased as a package deal. Seeing the phone and headset take different cables to recharge, (I'm assuming as a convenience of using only one charger), included in the works was an OEM Y cable that allows the charging of the V3 and HS-810 at the same time from the V3 charger.
The single end connects to the OEM V3 home or car charger. The split end has one mini-USB for the V3 and one CE Bus connector for the headset.
Is it possible to use my regular V3 USB-to mini-USB cable attached to the Y-cable described above to SEEM edit a friend's V400...or will they need to purchase a USB to CE Bus cable exclusively?
