Managing SD cards

just got my 1gb SD card today in the mail... can anyone helpfully point me to a thread or site to get some info on how to manage it including transferring data onto it and how to compress movies and other such things? i dont know anythin about it yet :\

I transfer data onto mine via a USB card reader. You can pick up an SD-only reader for less than $10 online, or probably about $20 at any brick and mortar store.

MP3's will play via RealPlayer (You're on a Treo, right?) if they're in the root (no folder) directory of the card. PocketTunes...and most every other audio player, will allow you to scan for files in any directory.

This works well, and creates quite usable movies. It's a -little- outdated, as the FairUse software is a newer version, but you'll get the gist of it.

any way to hotsync a movie by putting it in my palmone quickinstall application? or will that take forever / justplain not work?
