My friends Treo650's keyboard only works when she gets a message?

well i wont lie, she has droped it a couple of times but now her keyboard only works when she gets an incoming message...does anyone know what might be the problem? I mean i could understand if it didnt work period but it works when she gets text messages, You think a hard reset my fix the problem?

Always worth a shot. Might be some extraneous setting (though I wouldn't have the FAINTEST idea of where) that did it, so a hard reset would take things back.

Yeah I might give that a try, does anyone know if all her information will be lost? Such as her pics and phone numbers? I would be better of backing that stuff all up on her pc before I do the hard reset right?

Yes, it will. The hard reset takes everything back as it was when she first got the phone. So yes, do a hotsync to PC first. Better yet, go get BackupBuddy (FREE TRIAL) and do both a hotsync AND backup.
