E815 Cable and Bluetooth Questions

I'm sorry if similar questions have been posted. I did a quick search and came up with nothing, hence the post.
I got an E815 over the summer and bought the cable on Ebay to seem edit it.
I followed the instructions on the e815 sticky thread and everything seemed to work - I uploaded an mp3, which is still my ringtone.
However, soon after, I started having trouble with the cable. I believe there is some sort of loose connection and the phone keeps on disconnecting. My computer recognizes the E815M, but then quickly disconnects soon after.
So, I'm looking to buy a USB bluetooth adapter so I won't have to deal with the cable and be able to use my E815 for all it's worth.
So, here are my questions:
1)Is it indeed the cable that is broken or could I be doing something wrong?
2) What Bluetooth adapters do you recommend? I have a gift certificate at Best Buy and was thinking of just getting the Kensington Blue Tooth adapter they sell for $40. Anything cheaper/better available where I don't need to use the cable?
2) Assuming everything works with the Bluetooth, what websites do you recommend for downloading games and ringtones? Can I get games online or do I need to buy them on my phone? I figured the whole point of getting the cable was not to buy the games....
Thank you so much in advance for all the help.

Using MPT? What version?
When does it disconnect, when transferring files, or anytime? If you have 3.something and you are under XP then there is a known USB driver problem causing the disconnect. I can either post a link to the fix, or you can upgrade to 4.04.
Does your phone have Brew, or Java? If it has Java then you can load games, but I don't know of a way to download or put Brew games on a phone.

I think it disconnects anytime.
When I first started using the cable, I could use it longer before disconnecting. But I may just be not remembering correctly - it has been nearly half a year before I kind of gave up trying.
That being said, I checked and my MPT version is 3.25b. I'll obviously give the new version or patch a try. Can you PM me the link?
As for Brew or Java, I'm not sure?
I'm assuming Brew, but I also have a memory card in my phone, so couldn't I theoretically install Java onto the card and then play Java games?
Thanks.

Or just send the link in the thread. Whichever.
Cheers.

Heres the link to the fix: http://www.bvrp.com/customers/motorola/upgrade/US/
But I recomend you update to 4.04 (run the LiveUpdate tool)
This update or fix is only necessary if you have WinXP

Does 4.04 even exist?
I go to Update, but it only leads me to www.bvrp.com
