R u using the software with the USB cable..

If so, did you have to do anything special to get it to work..

I have tried a couple of programs from sprint..

But it doesnt seem to notice the phone...

Ben,

Can I assume that you installed the USB drives and windows sees the phone?????

There is an update on the futuredial site that you may need.
I suggest you check the site under product support for snapdial.

What you need:
Get the USB data cable from radioshack (you dont need the software in WinXP), go to Sanyo website and download the USB drivers.

After extracting/installing the USB drivers, turn the phone on and connect to PC with USB cable, and install USB modem and browse to the USB drivers directory where you extracted driver files.
Right-click "My network places" in WinXP on your desktop, or "network connections" in control panel and create a (1)new internet connection and (2) set connection manually using a (3)dialup modem. Name the connection "Sanyo4900" (for example)and the phone number is #777

Your phone must be internat enabled, click on "web" to connect.

Now you can go to the "start menu" and select the
"settings" - > "network connections" -> "Sanyo4900"

you should now be connected

Hope this helps...

Is the phone connected to the web (the green and blue up-down arrows at the top of the phone display)? The first time I tried, I got a connection error in WinXP. Other than that I dont know what it can be..

Edit: Try your sprintpcs username and password in the connection dialog. Not sure but I hope this helps.

Will there be any charges for using this on my computer if i use the Sprint Connection software? and is there any advantage to not using the connection manager and manually doing it like stated above?

Thanks
Chris

I dont have the Sprint connection manager, so I cant compare. What I do know is that I have connected a couple of times and haven't seen anything in my account. If you dont have the Vision plan, I assume you will be charged per kilobyte of data.
