Everyone,

Please post your dslreports download speed here along with your phone model and location. Something like:

Cingular 2125 - 384kbps - Nyack, NY or
SP5m, 100kbps, Philadelphia, PA

Thanks a lot. I really want to know how much faster the hump antenna phone is.

SP5 - 100kbps - Pensacola, FL

When I had the 2125, I posted 170kbps on DSL reports. This was in NYC...

384 kbs???

The fastest I've hit on my SP5 was 234 kbs in NYC. I am consistently hitting speeds between 170-190 kbs

Isn't that the fastest it can theoretically go?

Cingular 2125 - 91kbps for 600k test - Downtown Raleigh, NC
1.732s latency
53.892s d/l time

(91kbps is the best I've gotten. I usually get a little lower than that due to latency)

Regards, Daniel

hmmm.. I used the 5k wap test and got:

2 kbit/sec
(4.846)s latency
8.229s d/l time

I'm at the airport in Kenner, inside many walls with fluctuating signal

Does anyone know why I can't seem to get anything faster than 65kbit/sec with a strong signal? Even in NYC i only get around 70.

It was the best I have had so far on my i-Mate SP5m

I was able to get a fat 300 kbit/s on T-Mobile, 9.99 plan, in Richmond, VA. I messed up my settings, had to hard reset, and now I can't for the life of me figure out how I had it set up... I can get about 100 kbit/s tops now. ACk!

Cingular 2125: 137.6 kbps in San Juan, PR.

I have hit 250k in the downtown core but usually get 134k in most places.
