(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I got a replacement mpx220-- and I want to backup my contact list-- but my USB went dead for some reason-- so I can not use activesync... Is there anyway to save the contact list to my storage card or something to that effect and then transfer it to the new phone? Or is there any other methods avaliable besides the manual sim add for each

Thanks,
Adam

Damn dude...there is no other way. You out of luck. You should of backed up your contacts and other info that you sync with your computer in case of hardware failures on both the device and or the computer. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Go out and buy a bluetooth dongle. It's about $15-$20. With the new ActiveSync 4.1, you can connect your MPx220 to your computer via Bluetooth.

You won't need to use your USB connection to the phone.

Good luck man.

But if he can't ActiveSync via USB first when setting up BT Sync he won't connect. At least not easily, you may get lucky with that. But everytime I had to setup BT activesync on my MPx 220 I had to at least do a USB sync first before I could do a BT sync.

Its possible. Use Mitac Backup. It saves Messages and Contacts on your MiniSD.

I tried that program.....it didn't like my phone to much and didn't work, but that was me. Maybe the OP will have better luck.

You could always go to each contact and manually select "Save to SIM" for each one...granted that the address won't be saved, but at least you'll have your phone #'s. Then just pop your SIM in the new replacement mpx220 and you're set.

Go to contacts --> select contact --> select phone # -->Menu -->Save to SIM

You'll have to do it individually for every contact...good luck.
