Just happened like 5 minutes ago, and for some reason I stepped away from my phone and as I came back to it I saw blank white screen. It restarted itself, now when I go to my phone messages everything is gone!? Everything else is still there but my phone messages.

Any reason why this occured? I had my phone for like 2 months, never did this before. Is it faulty?

yea it happned to mine also like 2 months ago i think. mine did a hard reset tho. did urs do the same?

maybe got some water in it? and doesnt everything loaded on the sidekick is on the network.. so u gotta wait for it to upload onto the phone? call up tmobile.. seems like its time for a replacement..

Yea, it seems like it did a hard "reset".

I really take good care of this phone, I've never got water on it. I also waited for it to updated the information to my phone from their servers, and still none of my phone messages appear.

If it does occur again, I will have to get warranty.

yea. it just happned to me once. but i think i was trying 2 do 2many things on it at once. so i just took it as the OS crashed and reset but i wasnt expecting the hard reset. didnt really care beucase it downloads all ur settings again. ahhh the bueaty of a owning a Sidekick.....

yeah thats a crash...like a week after i got my update..it was doing that ***** like twice a week...my phone messages were gone..contacts were gone..i'd have to wait like 10-20 minutes for it to get my stuff bac

Still continued to monitor the situation and it has not shut off on me again. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Decuss - i'm surprised your still sticking with your phone, when it's occuring twice a week! I would have probably tossed the phone, haha.

yeah U think Its bad That It would happen twice a week mine did it like four or five times a day. I am getting it replaced then i am going to sell it. Its is giving me way too many problems.
The wierd thing is that it worked great before i got the OTA

You guys are lucky. Mine hard-reseted about every 15 - 20 mins. I called CS and they sent me a new one...only to have the same problem. Now Im on my 4th one... They finally agreed to send me a brand new one instead of a refurb. This is absolutely bananas. And like you I didnt have any problems before the OTA update.

that is strange... I bought mine of ebay and it had like 5 games on it! but then I did the 2 updates and all of is gone all the ringtones and games..

that sucks because now they are going to make me buy them for 5 bucks a peice when i had them for free before :'(

Lol i must have high tolerance level or something, but it stopped doing that a little while ago, so i guess that contributes to why i havent flung this ****** across the room
