8940 won't read my SD card

I've got a SanDisk 256MB mini SD card. It worked just fine with my previous 8940. I recently got a new phone after my previous one broke. My new phone won't read the SD card though. I've tried formatting the SD card from the phone, and it just says error. When I put the card in it's adapter, my PC will read it just fine. Anyone know what the problem might be?

YEs i used to have this problem as well. You to take your phone to the verizon store and get it flashed with the update. I had this problem for the longest time and no one on this forum ever helps any one... they just ask gay *** questions in the answers.... Be careful dont play around with it while ur phone is outdated. I found that my phone quickly frys the SD cards.
