Haven't checked to see if it's SOWG in my system yet but it wouldn't surprise me- the handset was a flop. My store sold 10 and actually got all 10 back. That's never happened before.

Those LG 7200s were such a piece of garbage. Of course I could say that about any LG phone. GSM atleast.

talked to my LG rep (also my next door neighbor) and there is no plan for EOL at this time. sorry to squash rumors.

We were just told they were back-ordered.

The Sony Z520a's in-store stock was recalled. No customer XBM exchanges. You know, because that's how we roll.

Why they launched PTT on the back of an LG and a Samsung is beyond me.

Maybe because those manufacturers are more aggressive at the moment, and willing to ramp up production on a risky product?

I have had cell phones for almost 10 years and have not hated a phone after 5 minutes. Really bad, poor interface. This is all without making a call.

when people picked that phone out of all the phones in our stores... i cant help to laff how stupid these people are to think, just because its a slider ITS THE TOP PHONE IN THE STORE? ... be real most of cingulars slider phones have been flops! p777, the siemens... only cool slider that was awesome was the nokia 8890. cant wait to pull that phone off the shelf and replace it with that new rugged motorola thats comming out.

LG = lifes good??? ... try flipping it backwards to GL = GOOD LUCK!

the 557 is push to talk its just cuz cingular is "equal opportunity" and took the razr and all the moto **** so they offered samsung and lg this deal lol idiots...

Not the same PTT that we use on Cingular, Cingular has a non-standard push to talk service that is not the same as traditional GSM push to talk. LG & Samsung went out of their way to develop phones especially for the Cingular push to talk service. Some manufacturers have decided not to support or make Cingular PTT phones, for example Nokia.

nokia 6102 is push to talk i was just using it the other day lol! and the V557 works just fine when ptt-ing, but i didnt know it wasnt standard ptt, thanks for sharing

i cant wait for more PTT handsets.... i actually had a customer walk in with a LG PTT phone that was a store demo and trying to activate it

i was like mam where did you get this phone.... i had to confiscate why someone would actually steal an LG phone is beyond me

I dont think so. Neither of those phones are Cingular PTT phones nor have the software for the Cingular PTT service installed.

Rush to market to counter the new SprintNextel offering, but the Samsung is actually a great phone (as opposed to the LG).

Officially LG stands for "Lucky Goldstar", a name change from the gawd-aweful Goldstar brand from the 80's.
