I use AgileMessenger. They say that they charge (however you never give them any payment info), or you'll service provider will charged, but I have yet to see any charge on my cell bill and I've been using it for about a month now. It IMHO is the easiest to setup and use.

I tried IM+ and agile and they work but seem to disconnect often. I need something that is very reliable, runs in the background all day etc.

I never had a problem with Agile disconnecting on my 5600, but they dont have a wm5 version and the wm3 only takes up 1/2 the screen so I can't use it.
