Here what i did...I used Brewsky to put some mp3's on my phone, pretty straight forward there, put them in the brewsky folder, then uploaded to phone, after it did that it said about rebooting the phone, well i said 'yes' it shut the phone down and turned it back on, figured i was good to go.

Well it somehow screwed the ringtones up totally, i go to check them out in the media gallery and the songs are actually just noises now, like default settings or some crap, i have no idea what happened, so i decided to delete the mp3's that i uploaded using bitpm and try uploading again using bitpm, well it worked out great (uploading and that) but the songs are still the noises, any idea how to fix this? im sure someone has experienced this before. So i appreciate your help!

Thanks

wow... you used a program for the 8900 for the 8910 and wonder why it broke your phone... hmmm, let's see... it's not for the 8910, but for the 8900... maybe that's why it broke your phone...

Hopefully you have Verizon... take it back, DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT YOU HAVING A DATA CABLE!!!, and show them what the sounds do... they'll give you a new phone...

This time, actually use a program designed for your phone... and it won't break...

No, I won't tell you what to do, since it's been posted about 30 times... do a search... or just go to the official 8910 thread... who would have thunk it... THE OFFICAL 8910 THREAD might have something in it related to the 8910, and how to get around SP lockouts... wow...

Wow, thanks for the advice.

Needless to say this is a forum, which you have experienced people like yourself im sure, and new people like me, taking it back is such great advice coming from an expert, ya right.

I fixed it myself, the phone wasnt broke as you misunderstood it obviously, the ringtones were screwed up. no biggie.
But thanks for the advice anyhow ill take note of that.

I think the whole problem different people have the same phones, under different carriers which could possilbly make a difference, each program works differently, like, i used bitpm first, it seemed to work 'once' after i put a mp3 on it then i tried to do a wallpaper and it wasnt coming up, did everything exactly as wrote in the other threads. Havent had time to try again since i got the ringtones back to normal but i think people do what their told and when it doesnt work they move on to try other stuff.
Anyhow, this is a great forum for information, i appreciate all the help everyone gets and gives.

Thanks

It's not the carriers, it's the models. The 8910 is not an 8900.

Just stick with BitPim or QPST, and leave Brewsky for those who have 8900s.
