3 Series is completelt different from M3. Those shots dont look anything like a M3. I'm guessin its just the new coupes for the 3 series.

I think it will be called the 4 series, and I remember reading somewhere that the M4 will have at least a 400hp V8 based on the M5/M6 V-10

when the cars are all covered up like that does that mean it is not available to the public. because i see alot of those cars around my neighberhood close to the boeing company.

They threw that plan out about a year ago, it'll be called a 3 series.

Anyways, 1/2 of those look like ****, and 1/2 look like really bad photoshops, which also look like ****.

man i dunno where youve been but the current m3 and the 330ci are based on the same platform, and i was saying that this could possibly be the new M3, and i think it will be because there is an M styling package as an option for this new 3 series coupe, so it is likely that the new M3 is based off this new coupe

Yes they're based on the same platform but the E46 M3 and the E46 330Ci have pretty much absoloutely nothing in common besides the platform. When they made the M3 they started from scratch, with the 3 series platform in mind. Nothing in an M3 is "the same" aside from the styling, which an enthusiast should be able to recognize from a mile away. The engine in an M3 alone costs over $17,000.

holy ****...i never said it was the same... i was saying that the current M3 body style is from the E46 330ci, so if the new 330ci looks like it does in the pictures i posted than the new M3 will probably look like that.

I hope it doesn't look like that.

So I'm a little confused...

Didn't the 3 series just get a facelift? So would this be a redesign for the 3 series or just the M3 follow up to the 3 series getting redesigned?

The sedan was redesigned for 2006. The current BMW 3-series coupe is still the old body style.

Ok, that makes sense... Thanks

well its not gonna be called 4series its still a 3er!! for more info go to e90post.com its another webforum that i belong to!! havent been there in awhile though.

I don't like that at all, it looks like it's sagging. I don't think I've ever like any of BMW's coupes except the Z4. 7-series is the best.
