Put an mp3 on my razr w/ MPT and it won't play...

RAZR v3

I put a 22 second mp3 (LSU Tiger Rag fyi) on my razr w/ MPT and it shows up in the ringtone list but won't play. Any ideas?

Not to sound funny but is your volume up..Is phone set to loud. Also what are the mp3 settings you have it saved to, could be something the phone isn't capable of playing. I save all my mp3 tonez to 96kbs and they are nice and loud and clear.

hmm, winamp says 16kbps :dunno:

MPT plays it fine but I guess that doesn't mean much.

thats very low. try pulling it up in an mp3 editing program (I use soundforge) and re-save it to 96kbs. If it sounds ok once you have done this then it should work fine on the phone. I have made hundreds of tonez without any problems. I have had issues with some off the net that aren't very high kbs. hope this helps.

Maybe you should try and find a real high quality verson of this (128,192,320kbs) and then save it to the 96kbs, that might make it better also.

I'm having the same problem, it's not that I can't hear the song it's that it shows it the sounds list but I cannot apply it as a ringtone.

Anyone know what to do?
