New vm notification on razr w/o opening phone?

I have a Razr V3 with T-Mo since a couple of days. On my previous phone (Samsung SGH315) I would get a blinking light whenever I have a new vm. On the razr however, I have to open the phone to see if I have a message. This causes me to miss new vm's for some time as I am not constantly opening my phone to see if there is a message.

Is there a way to see that you have a new vm just by looking at the phone? Seems like a basic feature.

If you touch one of the softkeys on the side of the phone it will light up the outter screen and you will see the vm symbol and it will say new voicemail. There are also funlights that you can possibly setup to blink to notify. I have the aol voice say "You've got Mail" when I get a new vm and it will beep every few min if you have reminders turned on.

I've got that too for texts and vm on my ROKR. People always look up when they hear it.

I have the aol voice saying "You've got a voice mail" for my vmail notification. I plan to use the AOL voice "YOu've got mail" for email (however, there does not have email ringtone thou).

Two questions:

1: What are funlights and how do I set them up? I would like to use these so that the outside display blinks when I have a vm.
2: How do I setup these sound notifications like you described?

So I have been doing some experimenting with funlights and could get it to flash the keys when ringing, but I do not really need that.

What I am looking for is a way to see that I have a vm just by looking at the phone, without pressing any buttons or opening the phone. It should not be a one time notification but continue unitl the vm has been heard. Therefore, a sound is not practical. Can this be accomplished somehow?

The funlights that I have installed (but do not use) make the BT indicator blink on the front of the phone for calls also, I don't know if they blink for reminders or not. I didn't like them enough to keep using them.

I also have another sound for vm's, its done in one of the south park voices. It says "Oh My God, you've got mail (like aol), you bastards", its funny stuff but also loud. kinda afraid to use it. lol

yea im with charly11, iwould like to haveing the bluetooth light keep blinking for VM..if you could,can you enable to blink like a service light?

I think this is standard on all Samsung phones. I am surprised the Razr does not have this?

So is there a mod to either one of these options:

1: Outside display falshes when a new vm is there?
2: Bluetooth light flashes when a new vm is there?
