V3i problems with Opera Mini , Help ???

I keep getting this error when I try to connect An unexpected error occurred. Your browsing experience might be limited." any help would be appreciated.

My settings are :

webaccess---websessions

home page: wap.oa.yahoo.com
service type 1 : WAP
proxy 1 : 66.209.11.61
port 1 : 9202
Domain 1 :

These settings work on my regular browser, I can connect to yahoo no problem, but when I use Opera I keep getting the error above....

What am I doing wrong? Thanks

i am not sure the opera mini would work for WAP sites specific.

opera mini is specific for the full html website and reformat it and display on mobile phone. so for the wap site, it might not work.
however, i do not know it for sure.

How do I change it? I know some members on this site have the v3i and have successfully installed Opera mini. Maybe someone with a v3i can check their settings and tell me what I am doing wrong.

having installed opera mini successfully has nothing to do with accessing the hofo WAP forum using operea mini.

what is your issue at all?

1) can't install mini opera in v3i
2) installed it, but can't access wap hofo site

would you even be able to launch the mini opera ?

i am not faimilar with cingular setup. however, in tmo, someone said you could change the server 2 type to http, and port to 8080. however, it is just for tmo setting.

i believe your data plan in your acct does not allow you to access http port?

Timback... I've suggested a few times now that you go to the links in the other thread and make sure that your browser settings are correct. The ones you posted are not correct for Cingul ar.

I am having the exact same problem as Timback except my phone is a V635 and on Rogers network. Does any one have a soloution to this issue?

This is guaranteed to work... You have some wrong things entered up top. Also.. On the V3i... You need to create your own Cin gular websession. You'll need to do the same for MMS.

One question, can you get WAP sites with Opera? Can seem to get yahoo WAP. No big deal. The most important was actually activating it. Thanks again you are the man.

I have the v3i and i did everything correctly yet the first screen i see is prev, help [] and search. Even when i go to home it does the same thing. Why? Thanks

Also when i click previous i can't click on anything but accept. Its just regular words but no links
