MP3 as ringtones on Motorola V710

Hello Everyone
I am trying to make my mp3 music as a ringtone. This is what I did so far.
I downloaded a software called "www.funformobile.com" to create ring tones. Did excatly what it says. After, I transfered the created file to my cell using the "Trans-T-Flash". After, I moved the created file to "phone". All that and I still don't get the "apply as ring tone" menu for the tansfered file. Is it because my cell is blocked by telus?? or am I doing something wrong. If anyone tried it, please let me know.
