ok.. my dad bought a motorola phone last week.. the seller said it was unlocked , so my dad bought it so he can use it when he goes back to hong kong next month... how do i check if this phone is unlocked or not? it worked w/ my fido sim card ... is there any key sequence i need to do to check if i'ts unlocked besides putting in another service provider sim card?

It will tell you if your phone is lock or not.

It's either locked to Fido or unlocked.

Some people have claimed there is, but I've never gotten them to work. Other carrier SIM is the easiest way.
