Can a USB Cable be used to charge a Motorola C330/C333?

Hello all,

I have a V3i and sometimes while on the computer I plug my V3i in to charge it up. Now I found a Moto C330/C333 while cleaning and was wondering if it has the capabilities of utilizing the USB cable to charge?

I plugged it in and it prompted for all the drivers. I have P2KMan installed and pointed to the drivers folder there and it installed without any issues. BUT the C333 doesn't seem to be charging.

My question is does the C330/C333 have the ability to charge via USB?

If anyone has the answer please let me know....

YES! It is bit tricky. If your P2K driver is on, it will NOT be charging. Also, plug in your phone w/out touching any key, should work also.

Could you be a little more elaborate with your instructions?

So are you saying that I should NOT install any drivers and it should work? Please give me more details.

The reason I'm doing this is because I lost the AC Adapter for the phone and want to charge it via USB.

I've tried that on three (3) different USB ports and there doesn't seem to be an indication of charge.

Only phones that I know of that'll charge are phones with the mini usb port, and generally the drivers ARE needed for those phones. Any P2K connector phones won't. (mpx series is the only exception I know of)

My C333 has a miniUSB port and still nothing.

But I know the miniUSB port works as I'm able to browse the contents of the phone via P2KTools when it's connected
