Guess what?? TomeQ and his companies did it!! We have iTunes 6 working.. He will post instruction soon i think..

I and Vilko discovered method for iTunes 6 sync with our phones. Here is the instructions:

1. We run FlashBackup and on first Tab we select "Disable backup compression... etc".
2. On "backups" tab we set "Backup mode" to "PDS Backup", we connect phone and we click "Create".
3. We close FlashBackup.
4. Then we start PDS Tool, select "Parse" tab, open our PDS backup and click "Parse".
5. We close PDS Tool.
6. In folder with our PDS backup we have now "seems" folder, we copy there file "035B" unpacked from attached "035B.zip".
7. We start PDS Tool and switch to "Assemble" tab, we set PDS Version to "4-00-9".
8. We go to "seems" folder on the left list, and on the right list we select all files.
9. We click "assemble". In "seems" folder we have PDS.bin file.
10. We copy it to our backups folder and we start FlashBackup.
11. On "backups" tab we select "PDS Backup" and we choose our "PDS.bin" as backup to restore.
12. We click "restore". After restoring backup we have phone with iTunes 6 sync enabled.

If any problem with accessing TF card by iTunes will appear, i recommend to format card or at least delete iTunes folder from the card.

And it's good time to say: I'm selling my E398 and i will buy E1000 so i'm leaving E398 community and moving to E1000 and rest 3G phones community.

Well...i think its a great advance but....
too late...cause we have motoTunes and it is faster than the real iTunes

I think MotoTunes isn't faster than original iTunes, because it uses standard IOCTL api to communicate with phone. Original iTunes uses direct communication with phone and it's faster for me.

jsut a question.. if we never enabled itunes from the start do we do the 0371 seem edit before doing this one? or if we did, do we start from the original pds backup we had before doing the previous mod?

More easier manual:
1) Download all PDS seem unlock patch (originaly seem unlocking method by Vilko & TomeQ, patch by... me :-)

2) Run Flashbackup->Other features->Patch Firmware, select downloaded patch for your firmware (don't forget to unzip!)

my ROKR have R373...44R, so can i use the 45R? or do i need a patch specifically for the 44R?

Hi Guys ,
To the greatest of my sorrows I got to know that one of the greatest contributors of our E398 community The Great TomQ is going to leave our community because he is buying a new E1000 & is going to sell his E398 oh sorry his E1 Rokr Avatar of E398. Guys everybody needs to move on in his/her life so all the best to TomQ. I decided to dedicate the post to our all time greatest Contributer/Hacker/Cracker/Modder etc.

Guys who are new to this site, I will like to sum up his works towards our community (E398) & our forum.

He was the man who supplied the original JAVA iTunes source to Shoey in June as a result of which we got the Legendary Shoey’s I398 MP V1 which for the first time introduced Video Rerecording & iTunes in our E398 back in July 2005.

But guys as you all know that version of iTunes has a problem ---- it got expired in October 2005, so we had to set our phone to back date to use the itunes. A lot of guys tried to find the crack of Itunes by decompiling & again editing the code of the iTunes Jar File.
But, the Apple guys were smart enough to have that check sum feature in there software. So all of us failed to successfully crack the iTunes. So all of us were very disappointed.

Then there comes our hero TomQ again in the picture. He for the first time tried to edit the PDS data of our E398 & to our pleasure guess what!!!!!!!!!!! Yes u r right ----------------.He cracked the Apple iTunes.

He proved the Apple guys fool enough to crack the world winning software. Now our E398 was really a Rokr E1. It had all the features of Rokr. But it was also having just one problem ---- it could only be synchronized by the lower versions of the iTunes softwares, Max upto iTunes 4.9. So we were quite happy with our E398 which was now Rokr E1.

Then on 17th January 2006 our beloved master TomQ posted a message that he is going to leave the E398 community because he was selling his E398 & is going to buy an E1000.
But this was not a typical signing off from our community.
The day before he left our community he did the only thing which was left --------------------------------------- He had also cracked the iTunes version barrier. Now our phones can be synchronized with any version of iTunes. Really it was the final nail in the coffin of Apple Computers.

Guys, I am really getting a bit sentimental about TomQ while writing this Farewell Message for TomQ. But at the same time I will love to tell TomQ that what you have done for our community will be never forgotten and you will always remain our hero ----- really this comes from my soul. I will request TomQ to frequently visit our HOFO community.

I am writing because I feel I am a great fan of TomQ.
I am from India and I can tell you that I know at least 100 people from my city who think the same way as me.

Guys who feel the same as me please do post your messages under the same thread, it will be a great farewell for TomQ.

I am sorry if I have made any mistake unknowingly.

Guys let’s make it a grand Farewell for TomQ………………………….

Finally my mobile works flawless with the newest iTunes-Version on my Mac.
I'm really happy now

get the programs you need from here:

under the downloads section, choose software. it's in alphabetical order. you want to get flashbackup 2.5, and pdstool

then, it's easy as cake, just follow the directions!

If it is in .fbp format, rename to backup.rar then extract the file inside called 'backup', rename that file to backup.bin and open it up again

ok i have done what they have posted and it don't work...after i put the seem file into the seem folder and did everything as posted....when i put back the pds file into the phone through flashbackup, it always go through then when the phone closes it don't turn back on....so i decided to unplug it and it won't power on...only the keypad lights up for a second then it closes....so now i have to put it in bootload mode and re-flash my phone with the monster pack i had...any reason why?

ok i found out what was wrong...the person wasn't clear enough that i have to select all the files by myself when trying to assemble it that was why i was getting FFFF...but now i have gotten it to work...thx for the help

but Are you can help me about Update Motorola iTunes with LOW bitrate Song, like Moto_iTunes.
iTunes 6 Update only 128kB/s, can I upload lower Bitrate Songs /convert this to 80kB/s for instance/

I did everything and my phone works ok, but iTunes just won't detect it. And I did change the usb connection to memory card, that's not the problem. If anyone has an idea please help.

OMG, i did every step right EXCEPT i couldnt figure out how to copy the PDS.bin to the actrualy folder (in that parse program it had showed the file but not in the actual folder) When i opened PDS backup and the file wasn't ther I just manually typed it in and it started to switch it over to add the file back in when my phoen just gave me a white screen and the program did nothing so I took my phone off the cable and now my phone is completely dead... I got it into boot loader ONCE and tried restoring pds and the same thing happend... i was forced to exit the program (not responding) and now im stuck with a completely dead phone can enter bootloader or anyhting. i need major help.

Hi guys I was thrilled to know this awesome advance in the mod, I flashed the Speed iTunes 70R MP recently and when I saw the genious Tom Q achived this i inmediatly tried it but i didn't have succes i tried erasing the itunes folder and i also formated the TF but guess what nothing! in the computer the itunes opens and in the phone it appears the Do not disconnect legen but nothing. Please Tom help pe is it the MP and if it is can you reccommend me and put a link so I can download it please I'm a rookie and I dont know much about this stuff but i count on you or anybody else in this place who can help me!!

itunes 6 runs on pcs and macs and if it syncs with it it syncs like the legit rokrs. Look at
