hey, my brother owns a black RAZR and this morning he told methat his phone batt dies in 30-45 min when he isnt even using it...the phone is less then 6 months old...he uses his bluetooth head set time to time, but im sure that isnt the problem....whats going on here!?

the bluetooth drains the battery because the bluetooth headset is on standby which means its on constent connection which drains the battery.. other then that u could have a defective battery..

try charging the battery overnight with the phone turned off...my razr used to drain quickly but when i did this it fixed the problem....

but he doesnt use the bluetooth that much, only when he is driving, which isnt that often...and i use bluetooth also on my phone, and i use it more then him and it doesnt drain so fast...but im sure that it isnt the bluetooth doing it because it drains 30-45 min even when the bluetooth headset isnt connected...

actually you shouldn't charge your battery overnight. That could damage it more. The most you should charge your battery is 4 hours.

You should consider replacing the battery as it might be defective. You can find a oem replacement battery from this site:

Charge it overnight. The same thing happened with my E815. It's never happened since.

you're correct, normally...but to charge it overnight just once will not hurt it in the long run...besides, you are telling him to purchase a new battery which will cost him ~$20 now...if he tries charging it overnight turned off (which worked for me by the way) and it works and extends the life of the battery a few months, it might be worth it...

however, if it doesn't work, he'll have to buy a battery for ~$20....so there is a chance it will work and solve the problem saving him money for a little while at least...

strange...he said that he took the batt out and put it back in and charged it and it was fine...wierd

Thanx everyone

Page 8 of the user manual where it says "TIP" the text states that you do not damage the phone by charging it overnight, or after its finished charging.

Charging the battery overnight only damages the battery more. I suggest you a buy a new battery. Also try checking razrbattery(dot)com, some useful tips there.
