My e398 is making loud noises.... PLEASE HELP

I bought the e398 in July and Im on the Cingular network. Everything has been fine until a week ago. Whenever I talk to someone, they hear this LOUD noise. sometimes it sounds like gargling, sometimes it sounds like an electric current. I have been doing a lot of research to figure this out and I can't find anything. 
My whole family is on cingular using the RAZR and this is not happeneing to them. but they hear the loud noises. Could it be an interferance? or maybe the software? Has anyone experienced this before?
