Motorola L6 in US - Desperately trying to get IM

I picked up a new Motorola L6 off of ebay for use with my Tmobile service. I was using AIM with my old Nokia phone with my tmobile account.

Out of the box, the L6

doesnt seem to have AOL IM built in, and ive been trying to no avail to add it thru a java download (from google searches)

Does anyone have a L6 working with AIM? (or any compatible chat) If i can't get it to work, i'm going to have to sell it as I do alot of my mobile communications thru it.

Thank you for any tips or help you can give.

Anyone have any ideas.. even a "you definitely can't" would help!

i found this, but didn't try yet.... having problems with drivers
it's in seem 0032.0001

offset 65 -
bit 0: Settings > Ring Styles > Event Lights (funlight.pat required in /a/mobile/audio/) (1 on, 0 off)
bit 1: Office Tools > IM (1 on, 0 off) (menu item, may require update to mma files)
bit 2: Replace HOLD with MUTE Softkey (1 on, 0 off)
bit 3: MMS Invisible Downloads (Background) (1 on, 0 off)
bit 4: WebAccess/Internet (1 on, 0 off)
bit 6: Phonebook: Picture-ID Listings (1 on, 0 off)
