i really want some screen protectors too, but not at $30 for a 3-pack.

I use surplussed Palm M105 screen protectors. They're too big -- but turned sideways they fit rather well, and wrap around the sides just the right amount. I put them under the battery door, which holds the corners quite well.

Looks decent, and works GREAT.
