the hell is going on with cingular? guess that .75 cents we make on extended warranty is too much for cingular?

I really don't see the point anyway....just have the insurance.

true but still.

huh, please!!! i need to sell those 4.99 packages...

Good for customers, not so good for employees trying to hit their feature quota or earn a commission check.

Another reason why I'll be leaving Cingular... policies that contradict themselves at least in the COR aspect. I think with Radio Shack coming in that COR is really the bottom of the priority list. Then there's the new Best Buy opening up next door, definitely not going to be around for that.

"But Best Buy said... and how come they have the Razor for $49?"

"Yeah, I need you to transfer numbers to my new phone, Radio Shack said you do that."

"I'm not going to buy a phone from you when its 3X cheaper somewhere else. Now transfer my numbers for me and why does my earbud not work in my new Nokia, it fits, why doesnt it work."

That was just one day... this past week I can't imagine that EVERYDAY.

We charge ten bucks to transfer phone books unless they come from a COR store.

transferring numbers is now part of our "customer appreciation" for COR. But removing the $4.99 prem ins sucks!!!

move to texas.. we get paid on ins.. 3.99 or 4.99

how can cingular be so cheap.... honestly?? what incentive do we get... oh yes mr customer along with your razr your tri-pack your MEdia Works plus your international roaming are you still intrested in phone insurance..... of course i wont be selling insurance... they might drop one of the features like you know how some customers are debating if they should get the $2.99 txt or the $4.99 insurance.... if i dont make money out of it customer care can add all the insurance they want from now on...... make me sad to see how cheap cingular is..... gooo fast track yeah right!!

Think about it. Why would a customer pay for the extended warranty at the beginning when they already have a 1 year warranty?

It makes more sense to add it on when their 1 year is almost up, then that way it gets extended.

Customers may be dumb, but they're not stupid.

You're giving customers too much credit buddy. What you say makes complete sense, but in the past few months I have seen the $4.99 insurance+warrantee added more times than I can count. Some customers are so silly they would buy your rancid burrito gas if you could bottle it.
