RAZR V3 sigal strength variance

I have my new T-mobile RAZR V3 for about a week now. Comparing with my V300, the V3 some times has full bars and other times no bars at all in the same location. My V300 consistently have 2 bars.

Why such a large variance in signal strength for the RAZR? Is it the fact it support quad band or that the antenna is embedded?

I tried switching the network speed to 'fast' and 'continous' and some times still drop to no signal.

a common prob with razrs...no fear though, when you place a call it will jump up to the "correct" signal strength...many people have bouncing signal strengths...

Unfortunately it doesn't bump up signal for WAP/GPRS
