v330 enable gprs/edge icons

I've done all the seem edits I could find to enable the edge/gprs icons to show on the screen, but none of them seem to work. I have TMobile branded v330. Anything else I need to do besides the seem edits in 0032_0001?

I'm stumped here. I've tried all the seem edits I could find in xl8r's map, and no gprs icons show up, even when connected. I also heard somewhere that it could be enabled by use of the engineering menu.... I tried to change AIM to FEM, and that menu item just didn't show up. (cut my menu down to 8 items).
