1) How do u see the IMEI number on p800?

2) How do u know the warranty card in the box belongs to the p800 inside it? DOes SE warranty card has a IMEI sticker that matches the imei number on the set? (like nokia warranty card).

3) HOw can u know if the set purchase is really warrantied at by place of purchase's SE service centre? (not an export set). WHich is to say, how to differentiate an export set from a local set? if for example i got a set in malaysia from a guy who claims its an local set with local warranty where this device has not yet being launched by the local SE, but has however being approved by the local government authorization bodies.

PLs .. all help will be greatly appreciated!

The IMEI number can be accessed by going into the service menu:
use jog dial in flip closed mode:
up,*,down,down,*,down,*
Then head into the hardware information

As for the warranty, there is a 1 year limited warranty which should be on one of the CDs that came with the P800. You need your proof of purchase and the warranty when you need the P800 serviced.

As far as I know, the service and repair center is listed on the warranty or on additional information provided with your P800.

**As with the majority of cell phones, you can hit *#06# on the keypad for the IMEI number.

**The phone is supported globally, where commercially available. Therefore, if you receive a set that originated from Malyasia, you can receive support for the phone in any country where the phone is commercially available. The label on the back of the phone includes the production date in this form: 02w41 (Year and Week) for warranty purposes.

THanks whtbt7!

BTW, am i right to say that there is sadly no IMEI sticker on the SE warranty card that should match the IMEI on the phone to prove that the warranty card belongs to the phone u have purchase. (A fren who is using T68i say u need to manual fill in the IMEI nos on the Warranty card urself.. now how hard is it to provide a sticker instead... )
