i have a cingular branded ROKR, locked, 100 song, US version...

PHONE INFO:
boot loader: 0A.02
SW: R373_G_0E.30.34_A
FLEX: GSKKLGOCIN01NA05E

I have successfully linked my phone to my computer both when it's on (main screen visible) and in boot load mode to Flashbackup 2.55.... flashbackup will read the phone as "E790" when it's connected at the main screen. when its connected in boot load Flashbackup just says "phone connected"

i disabled the backup compression box under the setup tab, put it in fullbackup mode; 32mb and uncheck the loader box under the backups tab.

when i try to create the backup then everything goes down the tubes...

the phone goes into boot mode but the screen is all messed, then the phone disconnects.

if i attempt to create the backup with the phone already in boot mode it will just sit there for a moment then disconnect from flashbackup...

any thoughts?

you can NOT back up rokr E1!!!!

It's actually possible to backup the E1 apart from what I believe is the PDS section using ramldr. However, you're better off using tools like P2KCommander to backup your data, since the only important data after PDS zone which cannot be backedup using p2k is the DRM and the langpack, both which can be found online anyway.

im not quite sure what all that means but i gather i should just flash away because everything i need could be found online to bring it back to life if i needed... yea?
