Just got a 512 tf and am curious; should this be formated on the pc and then in the phone, in the phone only or what? I would like to take some of my personal jpegs and save them to my phone, any suggestions or how to on this step. I have tried to use the media section and photo on my phone and said to look on the tf but nothing there. Oh, have an e815.

another question, i don't know what i did. I attempted to look at the tf card and now I can't access the pics i already had on the phone? what did i do and can i fix it?

Put the card in the phone first.

well, of course that helps, but doesn't answer the question. to resolve the problem with not being able to access my original I just pulled the battery and the reinstalled it, back to the original.

when viewing your pictures i think you have to hit menu and then "switch storage device" and select your phone.

um okay. Your first question asked if you should format the card on the phone or PC first. I said card first. In fact, you don't even have to "format" it. Just pop it in and it builds the directory structure. You don't have to go to a "format" option.

With your second question, you can't view pictures store in phone memory and on the microSD card at the same time. You have to use the Switch Storage Device option.

When saving media to the tf card, which is structured, which folder should pics and other media be saved in?

pics go in the motorola\shared\picture folder.
songs go in the motorola\shared\audio folder.
movies go in the motorola\shared\video folder.
