how are throse brando screen protectors? $12, from hong kong, hehe... is it worth it since there washable and removeable? also i heard they come in different sizes and are custom fit for p800, is this true?

hi guys,

brando does have a screen protector that's pre-cut for the p800. i got one and it looks/works great.

cheers!

how does the brando one look though? I am using one my friend gave me for a Palm (I just cut it). It's a WriteRight and it SUCKS. DO all screen protectors make the LCD look all blurry? Any screen on my P800 that is suppose to be white, looks sort of rainbowish and has vertical lines running up and down.

Can you post a picture of your P800 with the Brando screen protector. I want to buy one, but if it's similiar to this screen protector, I can save $12....

Tr0LL,

i know what u mean. i used writerights on my m505 and it had those weird moire/rainbow patterns, especially when light would shine on it.

the brando's are clear so u see right thru it and it makes no reflections. in fact, i just ordered another one just to keep as a spare.

sorry, i don't have a digicam but brando does have some pics of their screen protector here: http://shop.brando.com.hk/screenprotector.php

hope this helps!

How long does it take to get after ordering? I live in the US..

Posted by: orlandob

Tr0LL,

i got my first brando in less than a week. they're pretty fast and you'll get a order number too so you can track your order.

it's a good buy! cheers!

Hi guys, I have read quite a bit out people trying all sorts of protectors for the p800. I have tried cutting my palm's protector to fit the screen and it works but as you said, it really makes the display dull and you loose the visual beauty of the p800. I bought a pack of 3 from e-bay for $6 with postage and they fit perfectly.
If you use an ear bud and smooth the protector onto the screen you cannot even notice that there is a screen protector.
I think that there is only one guy selling them on e-bay and I had no problems. Once you buys it, you will get a chance to type in that you want the protectors for the p800 and not the T68.
It's really worth it.
Good luck.

I was considering that one too.... cuz it's much cheaper and you get 3...

Is it an adhesive kind or static kind? Does it affect the quality of the LCD at all? Or is it completely clear?

It is completely clear. The palm one that I tried gives a grid type pattern to the screen and reduces the clarity of the screen a lot.
With this one, you can hardly see that the screen protector is on. It also depends how carefully you put it on. As I said, a q-tip works great in reducing the bubbles.
I thnk that it is not quite adhesive because I removed mine to put it on straight without too much diffeculty. When you put it on, apply it length wise along the longest egde because you will line it up better with the long edge of the screen compared to the short edge.
When you look at the price of the phone, this is a real good investment.
Good luck.

Starbucks: What brand of protector did you find on ebay?

Posted by: Starbucks

It did not have a brand name. It was in a sealed plastic sleeve.
The invoice has the following website on it. www.expresscentre.com on it.

You can e-mail the contact at leeexpress999@comcast.net.
They are really worth it.
Good Luck
