Siemens S55 features?

Ive decided to probably get this phone, because i need to save money and not spend 500 plus on a cell phone Does it have speakerphone and poly ringers? Can you have a picture for certain callers (pic ID and phoen book?) And preset ringers for callers? Poly ringtones? Thanks!

pic ID: yes (Siemens call it 'Calling Images')

Yes, it does vibrate, but it's not called vibrate. I can't remember what it's called (don't have the phone anymore) but it's called something like silent alert or something...

Has anyone had any issues with downloading JAVA Applets for the Siemens S55? I visited the HoFo wap locker and tried downloading just generic stuff (like bowling for example) and it starts to connect - then says "incorrect GPRS profile". Any ideas?

If it's a free game, try adding it by using e.g IRDA instead.

Uploading a midlet through IRDA can be a bit tricky. My tips is to rename the .jad to .jpg on your PC. Then transfer both files to S55. Make a new folder for the game under Java/Jam/ , then go to folder Data Objects/. First Copy the JAR and paste it into the new folder under Jam/ . Then copy the JPG and paste it into the new folder under Jam/. Last, rename the .jpg to .jad and you will be able to start the game

Don't forget to delete the 2 files from Data Objects/ or you will for ever have it on your left softkey...
