Question about the Treo 650 speaker phone. Can you use it with out dialing first. I have a V600 and i have to wait until someone picks up on the other end to use the speaker phone. Please tell me that this is not the same on the Treo.

Well, sort of... you can't activate the speakerphone and then choose a number to dial; you have to pick your contact first, and initiate the call.

That said, once the dial process has started, you can immediately switch on the speakerphone even before the Treo has connected to the tower (the screen will say "Dialing" in the upper right corner when attempting to place the call, and switch to "Active" once the connection is made and the person you are calling has their phone begin to ring). So, if you're wondering if it is possible to have the speakerphone active before the other person answers, then the answer is "yes."

oh. I was hoping i could just have the speaker phone on and and dial. And if I wanted it off I would have to de activate it. My wifes LG phone is like that. Oh well. I will live.
