P800 memory and speed questions

I've been waiting for the P800 for months now. So far the reviews have been positive but I have a couple of questions about the way the memory works and the transfer speeds.
1) I believe that you need to install any programs to the internal memory of the phone before use and you cannot run programs directly from the Duo. Is this correct?
1a) If so, how much memory do you have free for extra programs after the main (all?) programs have been installed from the CD that comes with the phone. Is it enough or do you think there isn't enough to use it without uninstalling/re-installing software whenever you need to use it? This is a worry for me as I want to install new programs when they become available without having to keep uninstalling apps to make space. Obviously there is a limit but do YOU think it's enough for you?
2) Does it take long to install programs (times?) and can you keep them on the Duo when not installed on the P800 (to install on the move)?
3) I heard that it takes a long time to transfer files to the P800. Could anyone supply some examples? Possibly even try sending the same file using the various methods (IRDA, Bluetooth, USB cradle, Duo via card reader etc). That would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance for any help. This forum has been a great source of P800 information and i've read most of the P800 threads. Ben

Any chance an owner of the P800 can answer these questions?
Please?
