Phone Tools won't detect my v3i

Phone Tools worked great with my v3i for about 2 weeks. I downlowded music and synced, etc. Now, it won't even detect my phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software -- even switched to a different computer, but it does not see my phone. Any suggestions?

Now it says "communication port unavailable." I have no idea what that means. Is it possible that somehow the "modem" function is blocking the use of Phone Tools?
