v3c Connection Problems

I have a friend's V3c (US Cellular) and I've installed the CDMA v3c drivers and everything and tried P2kMan and P2kCommander but neither connects to the phone. In P2kMan it says the phone's connected but when I try to update list it freezes and crashes. I have Windows XP SP2. Any ideas? All I'm trying to do is get him some ringtones.

Buy a bluetooth dongle on EBAY ($10) and transfer RINGTONES that way.
