My friend has the motorola v330. Apparently one day it just started freezing anytime he tried to create a text message. As soon as he starts to type text it freezes. He had it on iTAP and I changed the text to regular TAP, and so far I see that as long as after every letter or so you move the cursor over a few times and back, it wont freeze. Anyways, anybody have any idea whats happening, and how to bring it back to normal? Heres his sw and stuff:

Any ideas on how to fix this, and would a master reset erase all his stuff like numbers and ringtones, etc. ? Thanks everyone!

a master clear would reset everything to default settings

The iTAP dictionary must be corrupt. I remember using a program to edit mine, and after I sent it back to the phone, it would freeze everytime I tried to type something. I guess try a master reset like chorro said, but if that doesn't work, then it would have to be manually deleted through a data cable. It would come back after a power cycle.

I just had this same problem and had to do a master clear before it would work again. what a pos phone
